Resolutions are Lame-O

I don't make New Years Resolutions anymore. I gave them up several years ago. I got tired of feeling like a failure every year. Besides that I kinda think it is dumb to make changes just because of the date. I think if you really want change you should start today.

So this year I am continuing my tradition of no resolutions. That does not mean that I don't need some improvement in my life though. There are plenty of things I need to work on such as exorcise more, be nicer, have patience blah blah blah. This list of things I really need to work on is never ending.

So the one thing I really want, is to just have the spirit more, I want to let Christ in. I am really struggling in that area. I kinda have a feeling that if I had the spirit more the other problems of patience and being nice would just kind of take care of themselves.

So this year I'm going to adopt a new motto.
....be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace and the God of love and peace shall be with you. (2 Cor. 13:11)

I want this to be my attitude for everything in life.
I want comfort
I want to be of one mind with the Lord and with Andy. Hopefully this will help me make better choices.
I want to live in peace, peace in my heart in my mind and in my home. Finding peace with the choices I do make and with the choices of others.

By following these I hope to increase the joy and quality of life, with the added bonus of the promise that if I do, the Lord will be with me.

I'm with you. Though I did resolve to floss every day--the Jan. 1 start date is really coincidental though. It's really because I saw the dentist on Dec. 30 (4 cavities!!!).

I also agree. If you want to change, you should make them right then, not at the beginning of the year.
